White Elephant Rules

• Everyone is welcomed to participate (including kids)!

• To participate, each person must bring a WRAPPED gift (limit 1 gift per person).

• Gifts can be funny (but appropriate for all ages), meaningful, practical, or playful. $20 maximum.

• We will cast lots to determine the order in which everyone will go.

• All the gifts go into a central pile.

• The first person selects a gift from the pile.

• The next person can choose to either pick a gift from the pile or plunder a previous person's gift. Anyone who gets their gift plundered can either pick a new gift or plunder a gift from someone else.

  • Each gift can only be plundered once per turn. Gifts can no longer be plundered after swapping hands three times.

• After everyone has had a turn, the first person gets one final chance to swap gifts with someone.
